Pet Cremations

In past years it was common to leave our pets for disposal or to bury them on our property, only to leave them behind when we relocated. Cremation was also common until speculation and concern began to spread. Pet owners found themselves searching for other methods.

When a human loved one passes, we don't call a doctor to make the final arrangements. We call the funeral home. It is the same with regards to our pets. After all, we consider our pets as dearly loved family members that are most certainly worthy of a final tribute.

Now that we have moved into a new millennium, times have changed and so have our methods. Pet owners now have many new options available to them when planning a final tribute for their companion. Should your loved one pass, at home or at your clinic, a compassionate service, that specializes in the passing of pets, needs to be called to provide you with the necessary services and products to carry out and complete your final wishes for your loved one. A service to whom that will provide comfort, support, peace of mind and most importantly closure.

Many pet owners choose to bury their loved one so they may lay them to rest in their final resting place immediately after their passing. Pet owners may now come and reflect on cherished memories of a much loved companion whose gift to them was unconditional love.

When choosing cremation services be sure that you ask key questions and that you are well informed before you choose to attend your loved ones cremation. Arrangements can be made through Silent Friends.

Euthanization

This, by far, is the most difficult situation a pet owner can face. The responsibility of having to make this decision for your loved one, knowing that it is best for them, doesn't make it any easier. Just remember, it is an act of love that you do for them, and to release them form any discomfort or pain that they may be experiencing is the greatest gift of all. The gift of love. Silent Friends will accompany you for this service and read a final prayer for your loved one. Your tribute will proceed according to your wishes supporting you and your family during this...

IF IT SHOULD BE
It should be I grow frail and weak
And pain prevents my peaceful sleep.
Then you must do what must be done
When this last battle can't be won.
You will be sad, I understand.
Selfishness might stay your hand
But on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship take the test.
We've had so many happy years
That what's to come can hold no fears,
You'd not want me to suffer, so,
When the time comes to let me go
Take me where my needs they'll tend.
Only - stay with me until the end
Hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know, in time, you too will see
It is a kindness that you do for me,
Although my tail Its' last has waved,
From pain & suffering I've been saved.
Do not grieve It should be you
Who must decide this thing to do.
We've been so close we two, these years
Don't let your heart hold any tears.
